We launched our first two pocketbooks, ‘Lili Marlene’ by Lucia Nardo and ‘Before Too Long’ by Smokie Dawson on Sunday 1 March to a full house at Kindred Bandroom.
Lucia Nardo stole the show, getting into the spirit (and costume) of All That Jazz, her story about calisthenics days in the 1970s.

Darren ‘Smokie’ Dawson had the task of following Lucia’s razzle-dazzle. He immediately had the audience listening closely to his charming love story based around Under the Milky Way.

Lucia returned to the stage (without pink outfit and fishnet stockings) to narrate her always heart-rending tribute to her father Salvatore. The story is the title track of her book, so to speak.

Smokie closed the book launch concert with the title track of his book, a tale of how a Paul Kelly song effectively ended a teen romance.
The books, $20 each plus postage, are now available from Book and Paper Williamstown and also by contacting Vin Maskell: stereostorieseditor@gmail.com

Band members Martina Medica and Stephen Andrew.

Post-show drinks.

Our next concert will be our annual concert at the Williamstown Literary Festival, on Friday 12 June. Guest writers to be announced soon.
Congratulations Stereo Stories, Lucia, and Smokie!
Thanks Bill. A new chapter for us, so to speak. Cheers.
Glad the launch went well.
I have enjoyed reading both books.
Cheers Luke
