Tickets now available via Moshtix for our book launch concert on Sunday afternoon 1 March 2026 at Kindred Bandroom in Footscray.
Join us at Kindred Bandroom in Footscray for a very special afternoon of music and memoir featuring authors Lucia Nardo and Darren ‘Smokie’ Dawson, and the Stereo Stories band.
Lucia and Smokie have been much-loved writers at our concerts for over a decade. Their collections of stories are the first in our series of micro-books about the songs that stay with us, forever and day. Small books (just 60 pages each) but with big stories. Love of song and family shining through.
“Lili Marlene is Lucia Nardo’s soundtrack to life with all its joys and sorrows. Her tender, intimate stories will fill your head with music and your heart with emotion.” Angela Savage, author, ‘80s pop tragic.
“Smokie Dawson’s stories leap from the page like your favourite songs, from The Beatles to Doris Day, Dean Martin in a barber shop, Australian Crawl in a suburban beer barn, Paul Kelly at the wheel of Smokie’s trusty EH Holden.” Brian Nankervis, RocKwiz, ABC Radio.
