Congratulations to Stereo Stories writer Rijn Collins on the publication, today, of her debut novel, Fed to Red Birds.

The publishers say of the novel, set in Iceland: In her captivating debut, Rijn Collins has created a beautifully evocative portrait of an enchanted mind in an enchanting place – a story of everyday magic, both dark and light; of families and the shadows they can cast; of the delights and dangers of the imagination. Fed to Red Birds will transport you to remote corners of both the world and the human heart.

Rijn has been part of Stereo Stories since we began nearly ten years ago. One of her recent stories  for us was about an Icelandic gothic/punk song that caught her attention while working on her novel: Kalt by Kaelan Mikla.

You can listen to a five-minute extract from the novel via the Simon & Schuster website.

Congratulations once again Rijn!
