Thank you, Williamstown, for being so much a part of our show at the Williamstown Literary Festival on Saturday 17 June.
Thank you to the 400 lovers of story and song who came along, filling the town hall ground floor and much of the balcony.
The Stereo Stories ensemble this year included Markus Zusak channeling Neil Young’s powerful Crime In the City, Andy Griffiths’ ‘hit’ single Rock And Roll Institute (inspired by Stevie Wright’s Guitar Band), Maria Majsa’s tender tribute to her mother (Between The Bars by Elliot Smith) and Smokie Dawson’s love letter to his wife (Under The Milky Way).
The band, as ever, was in fine form, whether playing The Smiths, Goanna, Van Morrison, Neil Young, Guy Clark, The Church, and more.
Our next show is at Albury on Saturday 16 September, part of the Write Around The Murray Festival.
Then we’ll be at the Newport Bowls Club on Saturday 25 November, in conjunction with the Newport Fiddle & Folk Club.
