Smokie and sons crossing Abbey Road, 2013

Darren ‘Smokie’ Dawson grew up listening to The Beatles. No surprises there. Plenty of us  did.

But Smokie’s parents, teenagers in the early 1960s, were especially keen Beatles fans. They didn’t just buy the records. No, they got more involved than that.

A very popular story-teller at our concerts,  Smokie has counted down his 50 favourite Fab Four songs and along the way has written a family history of sorts. With a few mini-Stereo Stories too.

Read about the Dawson clan’s dedication on our partner site, Almanac Music.
