It is always a privilege, and a joy, to perform at the Write Around the Murray festival (WAM) in Albury, as we have done for seven years now, going back to 2016.
We never take any show, or any audience, for granted.
We know we are in good hands at WAM. Excellent sound, ever-attentive audience, terrific work behind the scenes by festival director, committee, staff and volunteers.
And so it was once again, on Saturday 14 September. Thanks, everyone.
“It’s hard to put the magic of the show into words. Each time I’ve been (three times in Melbourne, and now in Albury) I feel uplifted, I feel that the world is a slightly better place than I thought, with more decent people in it. Don’t know quite how the alchemy works, but it does.” Clare Boyd-Macrae.

Ellen van Neerven with their story about the song Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Rijn Collins’ tribute to Sinead O’Connor was poignant, with singer Martina Medica delivering a stunning rendition of the song Jackie.

Siang Lu’s entertaining yarn about green rooms at writers’ festivals had the audience laughing, and tapping their toes to Green Door.

Danny Katz amused audience and band alike with his story about Wichita Lineman.
