Luke Davies has dipped his toe into the world of Substack, going by the moniker of ‘Poet & Grumpy Old Man’.
“This Substack is what it says on the tin,” Luke says in his profile.
“Poems from my perspective, observations on society and life from a bloke into his 60’s, who sees things and often writes about them.
I tend to write mostly in a kind of prose poem sort of a way, it’s not too complicated, hopefully entertaining, and give the reader pause to think and smile too.”

Dan Oke, son of Stereo Stories band member David Oke, celebrates the 10th anniversary of his album 2003 Dream with a gig on Friday 18 September at Mama Chen’s in Footscray. Given Dad had some guest spots on the album there’s more than a fair chance he’ll briefly be on stage.
