We’re off to Albury this weekend, having been very kindly invited back to the Write Around The Murray Festival.
We’ll be playing to a full house of just over 100 people at the Library Museum on Saturday 16 September.
The musicians are travelling from Geelong, Melbourne, Wangaratta and Rutherglen; the writers from Sydney (Emily Maguire) and Melbourne (Danny Katz, Rijn Collins, Tony Birch). We’re also doing stories by Lucia Nardo, Maria Majsa and two members of the band.
These last few days have been a case of coming home from work and checking, and re-checking, various lists.
Folder of up-to-date stories, with correct cues and prompts? Yes. Postcards? Yes. Music stands? Yes. Stage banner? Yes. Plastic blue case? Yes.
You get the drift.
Just add another hundred items to the list, such as fruit, footy, mixed nuts, chocolate, phone chargers, travelling whiteboard, dark chocolate, bulldog clips, gaffer tape, nerves, pride, milk chocolate…
If you’ve read this far and still wondering what our show looks and sounds like, here’s a preview.
See you when we get back! (We’ll be in Newport in November.)
